Intune device enrollment

Enrollment is how a device becomes known to Intune and eligible for policy. Without enrollment (or app protection for BYOD), you are managing with hope.

Corporate devices

Prefer fully managed enrollment with clear ownership. Windows often uses Autopilot; mobile uses Company Portal or automated enrollment with an MDM authority.

Personal devices

Consider app protection without full device control when culture or unions/ownership make full MDM impractical.
